In a match to determine the top spot in Group A, the Philadelphia Union meet Orlando City SC in the group finale Monday night.

Both teams secured maximum points from their first two MLS is Back Tournament matches, with the Lions just in front of the Union on goal differential. 

Following a 1-0 win over NYCFC, the Union defeated expansion side Inter Miami CF, 2-1, July 14. Kai Wagner put Philly in front in the fifth minute, running onto a deflected ball across the box and smashing past Luis Robles. After Rodolfo Pizarro leveled on a well-worked counterattack in the 36th minute, Kacper Przybylko would find the winner, in the 63rd minute as the Union got loose on a counterattack of their own which culminated with the Polish forward placing a clinical finish past Robles.

Orlando City SC followed up an emotional come-from-behind win over Inter Miami with a blistering start en route to a 3-1 win over NYCFC. Chris Mueller struck twice inside the opening 10 minutes and Tesho Akindele netted the late insurance goal after Jesus Medina gave NYCFC a lifeline with a thunderous strike late in the first half.
