PSL boss: Our lives will start afresh

The suspension of football has created so many questions about player contracts, and Maritzburg United boss Farook Kadodia has addressed the issue.
Players like Siyanda Xulu and Richards Ofori are some of those who have been dominating transfer headlines while in the last few months of their contracts.

But with the season likely to end in late June due to the COVID-19 outbreak in South Africa, and the rest of the world, many teams will find a big challenge when it comes to contracts that are ending.
Kadodia believes this situation will be facing all the teams around the world as FIFA tries to come up with a solution to help clubs and players.

"It's not an isolated situation to Maritzburg United, all clubs should have the same situation," Kadodia tells KickOff.com.
"And I believe FIFA are looking at that situation, to see how they can either extend the contracts probably for another month."
Kadodia says the current global challenge may force several changes in the world, especially in football, once everything is back in order.

"Whatever it is on the football side, we are governed by the football people. I think that is understood," he adds.
"I think the most important thing is how we finish the season and how we start preparing for the new season, how we manage the situation. So it's a completely different situation, as the President [Cyril Ramaphosa] said.
"After this pandemic our lives will start afresh, so there's a lot of surprises and changes in the world. People are living with anxiety, not knowing what will happen next."
