Virgil van Dijk has created history by becoming the first defender to have a 99 rated card on FIFA, after being named in the FUT Team of the Year.
The Liverpool defender made history last year when he became the first defender to be named as UEFA's Men's Player of the Year and it was a surprise when he didn't add the FIFA and Ballon d'Or to his award cabinet.
However he has been voted by fans and gamers in the FIFA 20 Ultimate Team 'Team of the Year' and that's earned him an upgraded card, the first 99 rated card for a defender.

The FUT 'TOTY' was voted for by fans for the first time this year and, including Van Dijk, European champions Liverpool players dominated the team.
Alisson is in net for the team and the defence in front of him has three familiar faces with the former Southampton centre back joined by Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson at full back.
The only non Liverpool player in the defensive line is Matthijs de Ligt who impressed at the beginning of 2019 during Ajax's run to the Champions League semi-final, before securing a move to Juventus last summer.
Midfield is the only part of the pitch lacking any Reds' players with N'Golo Kante, Frenkie de Jong and Kevin de Bruyne combining in the middle of the park.
Upfront is the impressive trio of Sadio Mane, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe, meaning that Cristiano Ronaldo misses out on a place in the XI.
