LAFC have started their inaugural season hot, but it's worth reflecting on just how impressive it is in recent MLS history.
The newest team in MLS have started life with a 5-2-0 record through their first seven games, with six of the seven games played to date on the road. The most recent was a home game, a 1-0 winon Sunday over the Seattle Sounders.
To put that in context, the two most successful MLS expansion teams ever were the 2009 Seattle Sounders and 2017 Atlanta United. Here are their records through seven games in comparison.
