Mourinho: I want Pogba to stay
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho believes Paul Pogba will stay despite rumours linking the midfielder with a move away from Old Trafford.
Pogba, who returned to United in 2016 from Juventus in a £89.3m deal, was reportedly offered to Manchester City and Real Madrid by his agent Mino Raiola in January. Yesterday the French star was also linked with Paris Saint-Germain.
Mourinho is keen for the 25-year-old to stay at United. He said: “I think he is going to be here next season. That’s my feeling. I can give the guarantee that I don’t want him to leave. I can give the guarantee that the club does not want to sell.
“And I can give the guarantee that we don’t have any approach from him, from his agent, or any club. So in this moment, for me, he is staying.” (Sky Sports)
Sergio Aguero: Manchester City to Atletico Madrid
Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has emerged as a possible signing for Atletico Madrid. Aguero left Atletico in 2011 for City and the Argentine could be lined-up to replace Antoine Griezmann, who has been linked with a big-money move to Barcelona. (Sky Sports via Radio MARCA)

French giants PSG have joined the race to sign Fulham’s teenage star Ryan Sessegnon. The 17-year-old has excelled with 15 goals in the Championship this season and has been regularly linked with a move to Tottenham or Liverpool. (The Times)
Wayne Rooney: Everton to DC United/Rangers/Wolves
Wayne Rooney’s future at Everton is again in the news after it was reported yesterday that he’s in “serious talks” with Major League Soccer side DC United. The Daily Mail says Rooney has told the Merseysiders he wants to join the US club in a £12.5m deal. But the Daily Star claims that the former England forward won’t make any decision until Sam Allardyce’s future as Everton manager is resolved. The Birmingham Mail adds that Glasgow Rangers and Wolves are keen on signing the 32-year-old.
Wilshere set to sign new Arsenal contract
Jack Wilshere is “on the verge” of signing a new deal at Arsenal. The midfielder is out-of-contract at the end of the season, but it’s reported that Arsenal have offered him a three-year deal with a further option of 12 months. (Daily Mirror)

Italian side Roma are favourites to sign Ajax star Justin Kluivert ahead of Premier League clubs Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea. The 19-year-old has scored ten goals for Ajax in 30 Eredivisie matches this season. (talkSPORT)

Jose: United stars ‘mentally weak’
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has questioned the winning mentality of some of his players after falling so far behind Premier League champions Manchester City this season. Mourinho said: “How many points separate us from Manchester City? It’s not two, three or four. It’s a lot of points [20]. When you lose against all the teams that were promoted, it doesn’t smell right for me. I have to try to succeed in getting every player to have the same mentality as I have – to face every team in the same way.” (The Times)
Hughes to open contract talks with Southampton
Mark Hughes will sit down with Southampton next week to discuss a new long-term contract. After winning 1-0 at Swansea, Southampton are within touching distance of Premier League survival and will offer Hughes a three-year permanent deal to remain as manager. (The Daily Telegraph)
