Liverpool are getting themselves a ‘world class’ midfielder in the form of Naby Keita, according to German international Timo Werner.
Speaking to FourFourTwo, the forward praised his teammate, who is set to depart RB Leipzig at the end of the season.
Naby will be a world-class player because he has everything.
After months of speculation throughout the summer, Keita agreed to join Liverpool at the end of the season.
The midfielder was a key summer target for the Reds, but they were unable to agree a deal but managed to secure his services for the next campaign.
Keita has played a key role in Leipzig’s success in the Bundesliga and has earned plenty of plaudits along the way.
Despite the midfielder often occupying a box-to-box position, Werner likens him to Barcelona great Andres Iniesta.
I think he’s a bit like Andres Iniesta, the same type of player, because he can dribble, shoot and score. He has a lot of qualities that the young Iniesta had.
The midfielder will join up with his Liverpool squad for pre-season this summer and could be seen as a direct replacement for Emre Can, who is expected to leave for Juventus when his contract expires.
