Report: Juni Calafat Has Suggested Real Madrid Sign Igor Gomes From Sao Paulo

According to AS, Real Madrid scout Juni Calafat has pinpointed the next Brazilian prodigy he wants the club to sign: Igor Gomes.

Gomes, who is 21, has been compared to Kaka. He has a similar build to his Brazilian predecessor, and has an elegant touch with acute technical ability with the ball at his feet. Kaka himself has also agreed with the comparison.

“It’s not good to make comparisons, it puts too much pressure on him,” Kaká said recently. “But yes, it’s true that he reminds me a lot of myself in terms of his style of play.”

Per that same report, Barcelona, Sevilla, and Ajax also have their eye on the youngster.
