Brazilian Report Claims Inter & Flamengo’s Agreement Over Gabigol No Longer Valid

Brazilian Report Claims Inter & Flamengo’s Agreement Over Gabigol No Longer Valid

The agreement that Inter and Flamengo had reached over the permanent transfer of Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa is no longer valid according to a report from Brazilian newspaper O Dia.

The two clubs had agreed on an €18 million transfer fee for the 23-year-old striker and Inter would have gotten 20% of any future sale over €20 million had the deal went through but the clubs will need to hold new talks, at least going by this report.

It is due to the agreement between the Rubronegro and Nerazzurri being null and void that Premier League outfit West Ham United have stepped up in their pursuit to sign him.

New Hammers manager David Moyes is believed to have given club officials the green light to pursue the former Santos player, who joined Inter for a sum of around €30 million back in 2016. The report goes on to state that West Ham are ready to offer €20 million for Gabigol.
