It is also worth mentioning that the home side have now picked up the win just twice in their past seven PL fixtures, garnering no more than six points from a possible twenty-one.

On the other hand, Aston Villa have not been faring any better in their respective campaign. The newly-promoted side were at the losing end of a hefty 3-0 scoreline in their most recent fixture on the road. That too, against the struggling Watford.

Furthermore, the visitors are currently sporting the worst away record in the cluster. Miserably, they have not tasted success away from home since their impressive 5-1 win over Norwich, back in early October.

In sharp contrast, all of the defeats that Burnley have succumbed to at home so far, have come against sides that are dwelling in the top ten.

Taking into account that Aston Villa have not secured the bragging rights in any of their previous two visits here either, count on the hosts to come out on top in this one.

To pile on even more misery, the guests have not looked sharp in the final third. They have failed to find the back of the net in each of their past two outings and have also scored just four goals from their last six as well.
