Man Utd lost vs Brighton in their latest defeat to a promoted club in the Premier League and the fixture featured some shocking performances.
David de Gea
Produced an outstanding save to prevent Glenn Murray from scoring spectacularly. United's standout player for the umpteenth time this term. 7
Matteo Darmian
Has already declared he's open to returning to Italy and he was carefree again. Defended gutlessly for Pascal Gross' goal. 3
Chris Smalling
Not as secure as he has been alongside Phil Jones with Marcos Rojo back alongside him. His concentration was not sharp enough at times. 4
Marcos Rojo
Made his first United appearance in over three months and it was not as disastrous as his December displays. Still seemed off the pace. 5
Ashley Young
Wore the armband and captained commandingly. Disciplined throughout but did not show much adventure going forward. 6
Nemanja Matic
May have expected a night off but was retained and looked languid as Brighton dominated the first-half. An unmemorable performance. 5
Marouane Fellaini
Had an early goal chalked off for offside and seldom threatened Brighton again. Won't have persuaded United to up their contract offer. 3
Paul Pogba
Refused to go into hiding when things did not come off but the trouble was nothing Pogba did came off. 5
Juan Mata
So peripheral he may as well have taken a seat in row A. Has to be in contention for a Cup final berth but not on this showing. 3
Anthony Martial
Lost the ball immediately and although Marcus Rashford deprived him of a goalscoring chance Martial did little to influence the attack. 4
Marcus Rashford
Began with intent but became sloppy and his failure to find Martial underlined why he will not start the FA Cup final. 4
Subs
Luke Shaw
Made no real difference. 5
