The most interesting and important match of Round 37 will take place in Madrid, where at Santiago Bernabeu Real Madrid welcome Sevilla. Barcelona will certainly hope for Sevilla’s success in order to have a shot at the title in the last two rounds.
Real Madrid
Los Blancos have qualified for UEFA Champions League final after beating their rivals Atletico Madrid in the two-legged tie. Despite losing 2-1 at Vicente Calderon, Zidane’s men were very convincing.
Real Madrid suffered only one defeat at Bernabeu, in El Clasico, when Barca beat them in the last minute of the match with 2-3. Aside from the lone defeat, they drew 3 games while winning 13, scoring 44 and conceding 19 in the process.
Sevilla
Sevilla have probably lost the battle for the 3rd place and they will have to play in Champions League qualification stages. In the last two rounds, they were beaten by Malaga 4-2 and drew with Real Sociedad 1-1, respectively.
Also, they are on a 6-game winless streak on the road in all competitions (5 in La Liga). In 18 games on the road, they have scored and allowed the same number of goals (29). Away from Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, Sevilla registered 7 wins, 5 draws and 6 defeats.
Real Madrid vs Sevilla: Head-to-head
Sevilla beat Los Blancos earlier this season with 2-1, ending their record-breaking unbeaten streak. Zinedine Zidane’s side will be certainly looking for a revenge for the memorable defeat. The two sides also met twice in Copa del Rey, in Madrid the hosts won 3-0, while in Sevilla both teams scored 3 goals each.
Real Madrid vs Sevilla: Prediction
Real Madrid shouldn’t lose any of the upcoming three games as they cruise towards La Liga title. The players might be exhausted, but Real’s squad depth is more than satisfying and probably their B team could overcome Sampaoli’s men.
