The Manchester City-bound forward scored one and made another as the Selecao claimed another win under Tite
Gabriel Jesus proved the difference as Brazil moved four points clear at the top of South American qualifying with a 2-0 win in Peru.
The five-time World Cup winners claimed victory in Lima thanks to two second-half goals, with the Manchester City-bound forward at the heart of both.
Jesus, 19, scored the first, hammering home from 12 yards in the 57th minute, before turning provider with just over 10 minutes remaining, teeing up Beijing Guoan midfielder Renato Augusto, who converted to secure the win.
That made it six wins in six for new boss Tite, who has rejuvenated the Selecao since replacing Dunga as national boss.
"I am working hard, quietly, hoping to help my team mates on the pitch," the 19-year old striker told TV Globo after the game.
"There are lot of players in Brazil who can wear the No.9 but I am proud that I have this opportunity. I am proud to be honouring the shirt."
Peru had never beaten Brazil in 10 previous World Cup qualifying matches but took the game to their visitors.
However, the away side were clinical on the counter, and after suffering an early scare when the hosts hit the post, took charge in the second period.
The result marked the first time since 1969 that Brazil have won six consecutive qualifying matches for the same tournament.
The Selecao now lead the CONMEBOL table with 27 points from 12 games, four more than second-placed Uruguay , who fell to an Alexis Sanchez-inspired Chile in Santiago.
