The Red Bulls have been on a great stretch since October, so much so that since October of last year, they have lost just against Frankfurt.

The first leg was a competitive affair, but rather a dull one in terms of goals. Either squad tried their best to get their name into the scoresheet, but both defenses did well in preventing that from happen.

However, once the second half kicked off, the Germans incremented the pressure, and around the hour-mark the referee had to award a penalty in response to a foul by Ben Davies.

Werner stepped up to take the shot, and with an unstoppable kick he presented the valuable away goal for his team. Sensing danger, the frantic hosts tried their best to get back into the match, but the Bulls stood steady at the back to protect their slender lead.

Jose Mourinho, who has been trying to revive the season of the Spurs, has been dealt a tough hand. Everything was already in a mess before he got to the helm, and following his arrival, the Portuguese manager lost some of his key players. Honestly, no one could really blame him for how 2019-20 has been for the Spurs.

In the last four months, the Red Bulls have lost just against Frankfurt, and the last they lost at home was back in the first week of October. At present, they are on an eleven-game unbeaten run at home, of which seven were wins. 

On the other hand, Mourinho’s men are on a five-match winless run, and of those, an alarming four were losses. Keep note that in the process, they lost against the dead-last placed team in the PL, and conceded two or more goals against two relegation-battlers. 

To pile on, the squad also lost the first leg, and could not even score a goal in front of their home crowd. The Germans, who have the precious away goal, and are leading in aggregate, will have the luxury of opting to defend well until the visitors are forced to attack.

As things stand, the English outfit will be under pressure, and they will have to concentrate more on offense. The hosts will sit deep, and try to get Mourinho’s men on the counter, or try to take advantage of the mistakes committed by the tensed guests.

As such, expect a dominating win for RB Leipzig this Tuesday.
