However, since then, the team has gradually labored to get back to form, and impressively did not let that loss affect them psychologically. 

As of now, both teams are on song, and have found no difficulty in consistently scoring goals.

Just the last match-day, the Portuguese gaffer and his boys defeated reigning English Champions Manchester City at this very venue, and they will be confident to pull off a win against the comparatively weaker Southampton.

Moreover, Spurs have dominated this opponent for a very long time in h2h clashes. In fact, Mourinho’s men recorded ten of the past thirteen wins, and had won eight of the previous nine such encounters at this stadium. Likely, expect Tottenham to win this match-day.

However, this is the knockouts of a major cup competition, and the Saints already had recorded a moral win with an 87th minute equalizer in the first leg.
