Lyon booked their berth in the semi-finals of the League Cup, by pulling off a narrow 4-3 win over Nantes in the previous round. The hosts were 4-1 up though, after seventy minutes of play in that latter matchup.

However, their counterparts soon cut the deficit to just one goal in the last ten minutes of regulation time, forcing Lyon to let out a huge sigh of relief at the last blast of the whistle.

On the other hand, Lille took down Gonfrevilla with a comfortable 2-0 scoreline in their respective quarter-final clash. The visitors were much the better side in that fixture and finished the ninety minutes with nine shots on target. Impressively, they also thwarted their foes from making goalkeeper Mike Maignan work even once.

It is also worth mentioning that Lille have stumbled just thrice in their past ten games in all competitions. Furthermore, the guests are unbeaten in their previous five trips to this stadium and have secured the bragging rights thrice in the process as well.

Given that the hosts have just three measly wins to their name at home so far, the tag of favorites most certainly goes to Lille in this one.

Be that as it may, the visiting contingent have been at their worst on the road this term. Taking into account that both teams have shared the spoils in three of their previous seven meetings here, it will be safer to back a double chance this week.
