While Chelsea are still struggling to bring things under order, at the Stamford Bridge, against the struggling Gunners, the Blues are considered the stronger side.

Chelsea have a great opportunity coming up to almost lock in the fourth and final spot for direct entry into the Champions League. Currently the Blues are placed fourth, below the Reds, Citizens, and the Foxes, and practically stand no chance to overtake any of them.

However, they hold a lead of five points at the fourth spot, over closest competitors, Manchester United, and Wolves. Trailing behind Chelsea by six points are the seventh-placed Sheffield United.

All three of these teams have some of the toughest fixtures in their league campaign coming up next, and if Frank Lampard’s men are able to record a win over the Gunners, they could be set for finishing fourth at the end of the season.

Both Manchester United and Wolves take on potential champions Liverpool next, and Sheffield lock horns with back-to-back champions, Manchester City.

Chelsea were on the road the last match-day, and fought hard to at least salvage a point against Newcastle. However, the sole goal and the winner of the fixture came in the 90+4th minute by the hosts.

In the meantime, Arsenal were at home, and still were held to a 1-1 draw by the recently-promoted Sheffield United.

Talking about the result of this upcoming encounter, consider the current form of Arsenal, especially on the road. The Gunners were winless in 16 of their last 19 overall matches, and in ten of their former eleven on the road.

They also have a total of just six wins this whole PL season, and just two on the road. On the other hand, the Blues were unbeaten in four of their prior five matches, and had won three of these as well.

One of those wins were on the road, and were against this same opponent, at the Emirates Stadium. In addition, Chelsea are on a two-match winning run at home, and kept clean sheets in both as well.

Going on, Lampard’s men have dominated the Gunners for quite some time. In fact, Chelsea recorded twelve of the previous seventeen h2h wins, and at this venue, they had won nine of the last twelve meetings.

Furthermore, in the past nine years, only once have Chelsea lost at home against Arsenal, and in the prior sixteen years, they have lost a grand total of just two times.

Considering all these factors together, along with the absence of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, it’s the consensus that Chelsea will emerge victorious this Tuesday, and that too by quite some margin.
