The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) have announced that Egyptian match official Saeed Hamza has been handed a three-month suspension from activity after appearing on TV without notice.
Hamza had showed up on the Egyptian TV criticising the EFA and the committee of referees for not being paid their late dues in addition to other few issues.
Hamza underwent an investigation with the EFA in the association’s headquarters on Monday.
The Egyptian referee apologised to the EFA committee and CEO after appearing on a TV show without a previous notice.\
Hamza had complained about the referees not receiving their late dues of the past seven months.
Additionally, he criticised the EFA about not handing the referees new equipment and apparel despite spending 80 million EGP on introducing VAR in the Egyptian Premier League.
