Ronaldo's free kick woes continue

Cristiano Ronaldo’s last free kick effort against Inter was deflected off the wall, meaning he brought a tally of 39 attempts without scoring for Juventus into the forced break.
The Portuguese superstar has yet to score from a free kick for the Old Lady, a miserable run being dubbed a ‘curse’ in Italian media and the latest failed attempt came against the Nerazzurri in the last match before Serie A was suspended.
Since his arrival from Real Madrid in July 2018, the Portugal captain has bagged 53 goals in 75 games for the Bianconeri and scored his 700th career goal when Portugal lost 2-1 to Ukraine in a Euro 2020 qualifier on October 15, 2019.
But despite keeping up his great record also with Juventus, with 21 goals in 22 Serie A matches this term, none of them have come from the set-pieces outside the box.
Though, the 35-year-old has already scored from seven penalties in the League this season, three less than Ciro Immobile, who is the leading goalscorer in Serie A.
But his free kick woes continued with his 25th that deflected off the wall, whilst 11 attempts have been stopped by the goalkeeper and one has hit the bar. Two of his efforts have gone wide of the target.
Ronaldo has previously scored 13 free kicks with Manchester United, 32 with Real Madrid and eight with Portugal.
Note: The star did score a free kick goal against Inter during a 1-1 draw in a pre-season friendly, taking the game to penalties where the Old Lady won.
