As of now, the home team have slumped to the fourth spot on the ladder, and are one-point shy of their foes for the weekend.

Meanwhile, Lanus bounced back from the 2-0 defeat to Aldosivi on the road by getting the better of Godoy Cruz with two unanswered goals to their name. The visitors though have been erratic, to say the least, in their recent matchups. They have stumbled twice in their last five encounters in the top flight.

It is also worth mentioning that the guests have not been coping well in their recent outings. Miserably, they have not come out top in any of their previous three clashes away from home. To be specific, their last win on the road was the 1-0 victory over Huracan, back in early November.

In sharp contrast, Argentinos Juniors are yet to admit defeat in front of the home crowd this season. Taking into account that Lanus have not secured the bragging rights in any of their previous two visits to this stadium either, the win is more than likely to swing in favor of the hosts in this one.
