Bayern Munich midfielder and Spain international Thiago Alcantara has emerged as a potential transfer target for Real Madrid, say reports in Spain.
The 27-year-old, who joined the Bavarian club from Barcelona in the summer of 2013, is keen on a move away this summer according to the well-connected Sport Bild journalist Christian Falk.
Now Marca report the Spanish international is a transfer target for the European champions, who are contemplating the exit of Mateo Kovacic.
The report highlights the strong relationship between Spain Coach Julen Lopetegui and Thiago, although any deal would need to be in the region of €70m.
Thiago – whose brother Rafinha is currently on loan at Inter from the Blaugrana – has had an injury-disrupted five years in Germany, limiting him to just 67 league starts in that timeframe.
