Der 24-jährige Nationalspieler sagte, er sei "sehr sehr gut aufgenommen" worden. Alle im Verein hätten voll hinter dem Transfer gestanden und ihm "ein sehr gutes Gefühl gegeben." Das habe den Ausschlag für den Wechsel gegeben: "Jetzt freue ich mich, dass ich endlich hier sein darf." Er selbst habe "einen neuen Reiz" gebraucht.

Sané sei nicht nur schnell, sondern auch "mental richtig stark" und könne "unter Druck gute Leistungen bringen".

Rummenigge hob Sanés Schnelligkeit, seine Dribbelstärke und seinen Zug zum Tor vor und sagte, mit der Verpflichtung habe man Trainer Hansi Flick einen Wunsch erfüllt. "Ich denke, wir werden viel Freude an ihm haben."
