Juve-Atalanta 1-1: Mandzukic e Ilicic in gol ma la festa è di Allegri e Barzagli

Ultima partita allo Stadium per Allegri e Barzagli, giusto tributo ai due da parte del popolo juventino con cori e striscioni. Juve-Atalanta è la festa Scudetto dei bianconeri e delle Women bianconere ed è anche questo. Allegri, senza Perin, Khedira e Douglas Costa ha scelto il 4-3-3 puntando su Cancelo terzino destro e su Cuadrado esterno offensivo con Dybala e Ronaldo a completare il tridente offensivo. Nell'Atalanta, classico 3-4-1-2 con Hateboer nei tre di difesa e Mancini in panchina. In avanti il tridente meraviglia formato da Gomez, Zapata e Ilicic.

Buon piglio iniziale della Juve che sfiora subito il gol con Ronaldo ma il portoghese spara alto. All'8' è l'Atalanta a sfiorare la rete sugli sviluppi del tiro dalla bandierina, Szczesny è reattivo sulla deviazione di Gosens. Poi, Hateboer non riesce a ribadire in rete, la sua conclusione pizzica la traversa. Al 21' Alex Sandro tocca con il braccio in area, Rocchi giudica l'intervento non sanzionabile dopo averlo rivisto al Var e lascia proseguire. Al 28' preludio al gol atalantino con Zapata che dal nulla crea un'occasione da gol e sfiora il palo. Cinque minuti più tardi il vantaggio atalantino: angolo di Gomez, Masiello prolunga dal primo palo e Ilicic appoggia in rete da pochi passi.

Allegri inizia la ripresa mandando in campo Bernardeschi per Alex Sandro, ammonito, con Cuadrado terzino destro. Primo gol del 2019 per Mario. Nel finale da segnalare l'espulsione di Bernardeschi per rosso diretto: entrata a martello su Barrow, entrato nella ripresa. Atalanta terza a pari punti con l'Inter sconfitta dal Napoli nell'altro posticipo. La Juve rende omaggio ad Allegri e a Barzagli e festeggia l'ottavo Scudetto consecutivo.

Jurgen Klopp Explains How He Wants His Liverpool Side to Play in Champions League Final

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has instructed his players to play 'LFC football' when they face Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final.

The Reds are known for their aggressive, fast-paced, attacking football under the German coach and the 51-year-old has insisted wants his side to showcase those qualities against Spurs at Atletico Madrid's Wanda Metropolitano stadium on June 1.

Speaking to Liverpool's official website, Klopp stressed how difficult a game he expects to face against the north London side, and claimed the best hope his team has to be victorious is to play in their usual style.

The German said: "There are no easy games. In the Champions League there are no easy games, so why should the final be easy? Certainly not. So far we’ve always used our experience in these moments, during every moment in our season.

"That’s what we have to do. We have to play the football we stand for. We have to play LFC football. That’s the plan, and then it will still be difficult, but it was difficult in all the other games as well.

"We know that already, so why should we think too much about it? If we are really at our absolute top level then we are a difficult team to play against, but we know Tottenham are as well."

Despite ultimately falling short in their attempt to lift the Premier League trophy, Klopp's side have been outstanding all campaign and now find themselves in a second European Cup final in as many years, while Spurs are competing in the first in their club's history.

Both sides will be high on confidence heading into the showpiece event, with each having secured a remarkable comeback in the semi-finals.

Liverpool overturned a three-goal deficit against Spanish champions Barcelona with an incredible 4-0 victory at Anfield in their second leg, while Tottenham also found themselves three behind against Ajax with just 35 minutes remaining before a Lucas Moura hat-trick saw them through on away goals.

Mark Lawrenson Backs Joel Matip for Starting Role in Champions League Final Against Spurs

Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson has hailed Reds centre-back Joel Matip, insisting that the former Schalke man defender must start the Champions League final against Spurs in Madrid.

Matip has become a key player for Jurgen Klopp, despite starting the season as fourth choice behind Virgil van Dijk, Dejan Lovren and Joe Gomez.

Matip managed just 95 minutes in Liverpool's first 14 Premier League games, but injuries to Lovren and Gomez opened the door to the Cameroonian – who has impressed alongside Van Dijk in the second half of the season.

Former Reds defender Lawrenson has identified Matip as crucial to Liverpool's brilliant form, telling the club's website: “He has been a bonus because he has been coming out with the ball and committing opposition midfield players.

"If you’re a midfield player in that team, you’re looking at that and thinking it’s great because he’s giving you a little bit more room to play."

Liverpool's backline has been a major strength this season, keeping 21 clean sheets in the Premier League and conceding just 22 goals.

Van Dijk has taken many of the plaudits and won the PFA Player of the Year award, while £66.8m summer signing Alisson won the Golden Glove award.

Joe Gomez impressed alongside Van Dijk at the start of the season and is finally available again, but Lawrenson insisted Klopp must stick with Matip when the Reds face off against Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham at the Wanda Metropolitano.

“It would be tough on Matip [to not start the final]. He has been really, really good – and not just defensively. I think it’ll be Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk [in the final], I can’t see any other combination.”

While Matip looks set to start in Madrid, he may have a battle on to keep his place next season. Gomez will push for a starting spot next to Van Dijk if he can keep fit, while Liverpool have also been linked with a move for Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt

Premier League: Six Confirmed Rule Changes to Come Into Effect in 2019/20

As has been well-documented, VAR will be introduced in the Premier League for the first time next season which - in theory - should help officials manage the game much more effectively.

However, VAR isn't the only change we should be anticipating in the Premier League next season. The International Football Association Board (IFAB) have approved a number of changes to the current laws of the game which will come into force on June 1 2019, meaning that the Premier League will have to become accustomed to an array of new rules.

Here are six rule changes which will be enforced in the Premier League in 2019/20.

Handballs

There has been a revision to the application of the handball rule in the attacking third.

Goals will now be ruled out in cases where the ball accidentally strikes a player's hand before crossing over the line and, if a player has accidentally handled the ball and created an advantage or subsequently scores, they will be penalised with a free kick.

Free Kicks

Goalkeepers up and down the country will be relieved to hear that there will be a significant change to the way direct free-kicks are taken next season.

Attacking teams will no longer be allowed to have a player lining up in a defensive wall as, when a wall of three or more players is constructed, an attacking player will not be allowed to stand within one metre. The change has been made as an attacking player's presence in a wall is not deemed to be within the 'spirit of the game'.

Penalties

It's not all good news for goalkeepers, however. Officials will be much more stringent when it comes to penalty kicks next season as keepers must have at least part of one foot on or in line with the goal-line when the spot kick is taken.

In addition to this, keepers will also be prohibited from moving on the goal-line or from touching their goalposts.

Substitutions

In an attempt to reduce the amount of time-wasting that occurs during the later stages of matches, players won't be able to get away from taking themselves over to the opposite side of the pitch before being substituted.

Players will now be made to leave the pitch at the nearest point on the touchline, preventing them from slowly walking the length of the pitch before being taken off.

Yellow and Red Cards for Managers

The more outspoken managers in the league will have to watch themselves next season, as they will be punished in the same manner as their players for testing the patience of officials.

Managers will be awarded yellow and red cards for any poor behaviour on the touchline and if, in the event of a touchline melee for example, the offending individual cannot be identified for punishment, the senior coach who is in the technical area will be the default recipient.

Drop Balls

The drop ball rule has been a bit of mystery for quite some time, but it now looks to be a thing of the past.

Next season we will not be seeing any contested drop balls and the ball will simply be returned to the team who last touched the ball before play was halted. If the game was stopped in the penalty area then the ball will be given to the goalkeeper.
