Konyaspor vs Fenerbahce Predictions and Match Preview

Konyaspor vs Fenerbahce
Turkish Super Lig
Date: Sunday, 16 September 2018
Kick-Off at 18:00 UK / 19:00 CET
Venue: Konya Buyuksehir Belediye Stadyumu (Konya).

It’s been a dreadful start to the new Super Lig campaign for Fenerbahce who lost three on the bounce coming into Sunday’s fixture with Konya. The story is completely opposite with the hosts who head into the game unbeaten in four league ties so far. They Anatolian Eagle took the most from an easy schedule winning two and drawing two of four affairs.
The Yellow Canaries will be highly motivated to get their campaign up and running here az Konya Buyuksehir Belediye Stadyumu. Anything nut a victory would significantly hurt Philip Cocu’s title ambitions. The Dutchman could even lose his job in case of a potential failure here.
Fener had troubles with the efficiency in opening three games. They did improve it by netting two past Kayseri two weeks ago, but it counter for little as the visitors notched three to complete a second-half comeback at Sukru Saracoglu.

Konyaspor vs Fenerbahce: Head-to-head

Fenerbahce were the dominant force in the history of their head to head encounters with Konya.
The Yellow Canaries won 30, drew 2 and lost just 5 of 37 matches against Konya.
Each of last three H2H affairs saw goals at both ends.

Konyaspor vs Fenerbahce: Prediction

Fener have a star-studded line-up and they just can’t afford any more failures. They will be desperate to bounce back from a poor start and keep ground on Kasimpasa and Galatasaray at the top of the standings with a three-pointer here against the Anatolian Eagle.
Konya shipped three goals in two home games so far in the season, meaning the defensive line is the weaker part of the team. Knowing that each of last three head to head games offered high-scoring contests, we have to go with the Over 2.5 goals FT & BTTS bet at the odds of 2.10.
Punters who’d like to try with a longshot can go for Fenerbahce to win & BTTS at the sky-high 4.00 odds.

Konyaspor vs Fenerbahce: Bet Tips

  • Over 2.5 goals FT & BTTS @ 2.10 (11/10)
  • Fenerbahce to win & BTTS @ 4.00 (3/1).

Spartak Moscow vs Akhmat Grozny Predictions and Preview

Spartak Moscow vs Akhmat Grozny
Russian Premier League
Date: Sunday, 16 September 2018
Kick-Off at 17:00 UK / 18:00 CET
Venue: Otkrytiye Arena (Moscow).

Akhmat Grozny bagged their second win of the season two weeks ago when they saw off the struggling Ufa 2-1 on the home patch. Striker Magomed Mitrishev was the one who inspired the success by completing a brace within two minutes, just before the hour-mark.
The Wolves will have a very tough task to back up the mentioned victory given they will be up against one of Moscow heavyweights in the seventh round on Sunday. Spartak Moscow were almost impeccable so far in the season and they are actually one of just two teams without a defeat at this stage of the competition.
This mainly thanks to Massimo Carrera’s rock-solid defense which allowed no more than one goals in six affairs. The star-studded attack could have done better than netting five goals, though. Can the hosts find the attacking momentum here against the Grozny outfit?

Spartak Moscow vs Akhmat Grozny: Head-to-head

Spartak were on a four-win streak in matches against Akhmat, but the Wolves ended it in some style, bagging a 1-3 victory away at Otkrytiye Arena in late-April.
Three or more goals were seen in six of last seven head to head outings.
Narodnaya Komanda were dominant in the history of home matches against Akhmat, winning 7 and losing just 1 of 11.

Spartak Moscow vs Akhmat Grozny: Prediction

Apart from making a strong start in the Premier League, Spartak made their way to the Champions League group stage by eliminating Greek PAOK in the play-offs. It’s been so far so good for them this season and it’s really hard not to see Carrera’s men clear favourites to keep such form going on Sunday.
Akhmat have been dreadful travellers so far on the season. They lost each of three away fixtures in the premier League conceding as many as five goals in past two outings against Arsenal Tula and Ural.
The home win is thus a genuine banker worth backing with higher stakes at the odds of 1.57. You can obviously also back the hosts to keep a clean sheet at 1.90.

Spartak Moscow vs Akhmat Grozny: Bet Tips

  • Spartak Moscow to win @ 1.57 (4/7)
  • Spartak Moscow to keep a clean sheet @ 1.90 (9/10).

Paris Saint-Germain confront Real Madrid over Neymar

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has admitted being ‘annoyed’ regarding constant speculation linking forward Neymar to Real Madrid.
The Qatari insisted the Parisian club shared a ‘good relationship’ with the European champions but he would not tolerate any work ‘being done behind the scenes’.
“It is not a favourable situation and we have spoken about it Madrid,” Al-Khelaifi told an interview with Marca, published on Friday.
“No club should be talking about our players our vice versa, it gives the image that there is work being done behind the scenes and that is annoying.
“We respect Real Madrid and its president, Florentino Perez, while we also hope that they share the same feelings for us, it’s a good relationship.
“This is the understanding we want with all clubs, not only Madrid, because it is important to have dialogue surrounding issues and not use underhand tactics.
“La Liga president Javier Tebas? I have told him that when talking about people, it is better to say it to their faces rather than behind their backs.
“He should worry about his own problems rather than a club which does not concern his jurisdiction.”

Conti back in January?

Andrea Conti’s Milan return has reportedly been put back until January.
Conti was ruled out for much of last season with damaged knee ligaments, before needing a second operation to correct some distortion.
The right-back had initially been tipped to come back in September and then October, but Tuttosport claims the Supercoppa against Juventus on January 13 is now the ‘objective’.
The 24-year-old was one of the Rossoneri’s big-money signings in the summer of 2017, leaving Atalanta in a €24m deal.

Agent: Manduzkic ‘loves’ Juve

Mario Mandzukic’s agent has revealed the striker ‘loves’ Juventus. “If Croatia reached the World Cup Final, it’s partly thanks to Max Allegri.”
Mandzukic has spent the past three seasons with Juve, showing his versatility by also playing on the right wing and becoming a fans’ favourite in the process.
“He was a right-back, then a right winger because the lad had technique and the Coach moved him forward,” Ivan Cvjetkovic told Calciomercato.com.
“Sometimes he also played on the left. One day his father called me and told me: ‘I think my son has good numbers. Come and see him.’
“I went and after half an hour we shook hands: ‘Job done, I’ll take him with me.’ Before the end of the game, we’d agreed on everything.
“When Mario arrived in Turin, he was certainly proud to wear that shirt, but perhaps he thought it was just a step in his career.
“Over the last three years, he literally fell in love with Juventus, the club and their fans. Maybe only at Bayern was he so loved and convinced, but here at Juventus there’s something more.
“His relationship with Allegri really strong. I’ll give you a bit of background: if Croatia reached the World Cup Final, it’s partly thanks to the Juventus Coach.
“Before Mario left, in fact, Allegri called him and told him: ‘Don’t listen to any of the talk, [the board] consulted me and I said that you were indispensable for me.’
“That show of trust galvanised him and he was even more motivated in Russia.”

Pioli: ‘Ancelotti is the best’

Fiorentina Coach Stefano Pioli calls Carlo Ancelotti “the best Italian Coach”, along with Max Allegri, and “one of the best in the world”.
The Viola face Carletto’s Napoli tomorrow night, having beaten them at the Franchi back in April to effectively hand Juventus the Scudetto.
“Both we and they are different teams from last year,” Pioli cautioned in his pre-match Press conference.
“They have the best Italian Coach along with Allegri, and Napoli are always one of the best teams in the league. We need to be good at exploiting the gaps.
“There’s no player who has worked under him [Ancelotti] that has anything negative to say, he’s won everywhere he’s been, in whichever country, and he knows how to get a team playing.
“I’m certain he could be included as one of the best in the world. I first met him when I was a ball boy and I even wore the boots he gave me. He was a great player too.
“We need to limit their attacking game tomorrow and look to take advantage on the break, we’re facing a team with great quality.
“We need to calmly analyse the situations that arise, I want a lucid Fiorentina, one that is able to manage the game. My players and I know what kind of Napoli to expect.”
Federico Chiesa was one of the few Italy players to emerge with any credit from the Nations League matches, and Pioli was asked about his young star.
“The expectations on him after the Poland game were too high. You can be built up too high and fall heavily.
“He has everything to be a top player, but we need to give him time. He’s calm and motivated, like all the players who came back from their national teams.”
