What Changes Will Ancelotti Ring In Here? | 4-4-2 Everton Predicted Lineup Vs Burnley

Everton will play hosts to Burnley at Goodison Park on Thursday afternoon hoping to pick a home win and continue their recent resurgence in the Premier League. The Toffees will come into this encounter on the back of a scoreless draw versus Arsenal last weekend.
Carlo Ancelotti is expected to go with a 4-4-2 formation and might bring Bernard back to the first-team for this clash against Sean Dyche’s men.

4-4-2 Everton Predicted Lineup To Face Burnley

Defence

Jordan Pickford will operate in between the sticks for the Merseyside outfit after securing a comfortable clean sheet versus the Gunners last weekend. The defensive duo of Yerry Mina and Mason Holgate will continue to feature at the heart of the Everton defence as they try to keep the Clarets at bay later this week.
Djibril Sidibe will assume his duties in the right-back position while Lucas Digne fills in on the other side as the left-back. Both full-backs will be expected to keep their shape and not leave too much space behind as Ancelotti will demand a clean sheet from his defenders on his first game in charge of the Toffees.
Both Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman will have to settle for a place on the bench and will be on standby if there are any injuries on the day of the match.

Midfield

Fabian Delph and Gylfi Sigurdsson will anchor the midfield as they try to orchestrate some decent chances for the front players. They will also need to put in a tireless shift defensively so that the Everton centre-backs can get enough protection inside their own half.
Bernard should come back into the starting XI and will look to cause a lot of headaches for the Burnley defenders on Boxing Day. Tom Davies will be instructed to work his socks off down the right flank.
Both Alex Iwobi and Morgan Schneiderlin are major doubts for this game and are unlikely to be risked for this home game versus the Clarets.

Attack

Richarlison will once again partner Dominic Calvert-Lewin up top. Both strikers have collectively done well for the Toffees in recent weeks under the stewardship of Duncan Ferguson so they will be confident about their chances of success against a Burnley side that has been leaking goals this season.
Cenk Tosun and Moise Kean will have to settle for a spot on the bench but might get an opportunity to make an impact if required.
