Brazil Have ‘No More Room For Error’ Warns Coutinho

Brazil midfielder Philippe Coutinho admits that the Seleção have no more room for slip ups as they take on Costa Rica on Friday afternoon.

Brazil drew their opening match against Switzerland and will look to take all three points against the Costa Ricans.

“Brazil will treat Costa Rica game like the final game. We are aware we have no more room for error,” he told a press conference on Tuesday.

“Tite told us we could have handled the ball better. When we received we just wanted to attack immediately. We should have taken our time, turned the ball over and balanced our game like we usually do.

“Tite is so good at convincing you, that you'd think he is a psychologist. He always insists that we must be mentally strong.”

The Barcelona man refused to be drawn on the decision to award Switzerland’s equaliser, despite an apparent foul on João Miranda in the build-up.

“Professor Tite has already expressed his opinion. I prefer to not comment and to concentrate on Costa Rica game. In a World Cup, anything can happen. That's why there is no favourite for the title.”
