Brest vs Lorient Prediction & Match Preview
Brest vs Lorient
French Ligue 1
Date: Sunday 20th September 2020
Kick off at 14:00 UK/ 15:00 CET
Venue: Stade Francis-Le Ble (Brest).
The Pirates will take on newly promoted Lorient at home and they will be looking for back to back wins.
Brest started the campaign poorly losing their opening two games, although they have Marseille a good fight at this ground only losing 3-2 in the end. Brest have built their reputation at home and they will feel confident going into this game.
The home side will have a spring in their step because they won their last game overcoming Dijon 2-0 away from home. They come into this game in 16th place but with a win could well jump 3-4 places.
Lorient won their first game beating Strasbourg 3-1 but they have now lost their last 2 in a row. In defeats against Saint Etienne and Lens they have conceded 5 goals in those two matches and this looks like it will be a tricky fixture for the new boys. Only Strasbourg and Dijon have conceded more goals than Lorient so far, so they really need to sort their defence out.
Brest vs Lorient: Head to Head
The teams last met in a friendly only in July at this ground where the game ended 2-2.
Their last league meeting here took place when the teams were playing in Ligue 2 this was in 2018 and Brest won the game 3-2.
In the last 15 years the clubs have met at Brest 7 times with only one win for Lorient.
Counting league games only there is a 70% chance to see over 2.5 goals.
Brest vs Lorient: Prediction
We feel we will see a very exciting match between these two clubs with both of them having the opportunity to put three points on the board. There is very little between them.
Both clubs score goals and Lorient concede them and that is why one of ou choices will be to see over 2.5 goals.
We will back Brest to get the win, they put in a great shift even in losing to Marseille here and have won their last game so are finding form.
Brest vs Lorient: Bet Tips:
Brest to beat Lorient at 2.75 (7/4)
Over 2.5 goals at 2.00 (1/1).
Nice vs PSG Prediction & Match Preview
Nice vs PSG
French Ligue 1
Date: Sunday 20th September 2020
Kick off at 12:00 UK/ 13:00 CET
Venue: Stade Allianz Riviera.
Sunday lunchtime will see a very interesting game between Nice and PSG.
Nice won their opening two games and had started with a mission playing good football and scoring goals. Although playing Montpellier away from home was a step too far and the club lost that game last weekend 3-1. That result shot them down to 6th place and now they will be facing one of their most difficult opponents of the season.
PSG have had a poor start by their standards losing 2 of their first 3 games. The bad news is that Neymar will be missing from this game because he was sent off, but the good news is that Kylian Mbappe will return and that will be a big boost to a team who can still boast Marquinhos, Angel Di Maria and Mauro Icardi in their team.
This is a big game for PSG who must find a win to keep touch with the likes of Saint Etienne, Rennes and Monaco.
Head to Head & Previous Meetings
- Last season PSG won this fixture 4-1.
- Nice have not beaten PSG since 2017.
- There is a 90% chance to see over 2.5 goals and a 50% chance to see over 3.5 goals.
- The last time the teams played each other Angel Di Maria scored 2 goals.
Nice vs PSG Prediction
Nice have a poor record over PSG and they will be thinking that they have a chance in this game since PSG have been rusty and got off to a slow start and of course there is no Neymar.
But Mbappe is back and PSG should not be underestimated. Saint Etienne have won again which means that PSG enter this game six points behind them and they will be determined to win this game.
Nice could make the mistake to come forward to often and leave gaps at the back and this could be the game where PSG announce themselves as being back in Ligue 1 this season.
Recommended Tips
PSG to beat Nice at 1.44 (2/5)
Over 2.5 goals at 1.72 (8/11)
PSG to score 3+ goals at 2.75 (7/4).
