REPORTED EVERTON AND NEWCASTLE TARGET ALLEGEDLY REJECTS £260K-A-WEEK QATAR MOVE

Everton Soares has rejected a stunning £260,000-a-week move to Qatar with Globo Esporte reporting that the Newcastle United, West Ham and Leicester target has no interest in a move to the Middle East.
While even the biggest Premier League clubs would not be able to match the riches on offer in Qatar, the Gremio talisman deserves a lot of credit for choosing his footballing reputation over his bank balance.
It seems that Everton Soares has his heart set on proving himself on the biggest of stages in Europe.
In an era where so many talented Brazilians have wasted their careers chasing the cash, Everton’s stance should not be taken for granted.
AreaNapoli reported this week that Leicester, Newcastle and West Ham are all interested in an explosive winger who has been compared to a young Cristiano Ronaldo by former Selecao coach Luis Felipe Scolari.
West Brom, meanwhile, allegedly plan to sign Everton for £22 million if Slaven Bilic succeeds in leading them back to the Premier League.
With the 2019 Copa America winner rejecting the chance to become one of world football’s best paid players at an Al Duhail outfit who have already signed Mario Mandzukic and Mehdi Benatia, Everton is still very much on the market.

Globo Esporte points out that Gremio are under pressure to raise around £60 million in player sales to avoid potential Financial Fair Play sanctions.
Whether Everton will renew their interest in a player who shares their name, however, remains to be seen.
Gremio president Romildo Bolzan told SGLR recently that Carlo Ancelotti contacted the 24-year-old to enquire about a potential move to Goodison Park, only to be put off by Everton’s sizeable price-tag.
