Lugano vs FC Copenhagen
Europa League
Date: Thursday, 28 November 2019
Kick-off at 20:00 UK / 21:00 CET
Venue: Kybunpark (St. Gallen).
Things are getting tight in Group B, with Dynamo Kiev breathing down FC Copenhagen’s neck on the ladder. With Malmo taking on Dynamo Kiev, and Lugano arguably the weakest of the lot, FC Copenhagen have been handed the opportunity to possibly tighten their grip at the top.

Their only prior clash was the reverse fixture of this matchup which Lugano lost by a 1-0 scorecard.

Lugano vs FC Copenhagen Prediction

Lugano picked up their first win in three games last week after the hosts slotted three unanswered goals past Thun on the road. The home side, however, have been struggling to get things going for them this season. At the moment, they have just two victories to boast of from their last seven fixtures in all competitions.
The hosts have not been faring any better in their Europa campaign either. With just two measly points to their name, the Swiss outfit have slumped to the bottom of the cluster. It is also worth mentioning that home advantage has been a myth for the hosts, who are currently without a win in their last nine games here.
On the other hand, FC Copenhagen have risen to the top of Group B, albeit only on goal difference. The visitors also managed to come out on top in their most recent clash with Hobro by a 2-1 scoreline and will be making the trip to Kybunpark on the back of that result.
Furthermore, it goes without saying that the away side are part of a far more superior domestic campaign. The home side meanwhile are just not used to taking on teams of this stature, especially on a weekly basis.
Taking into account that the guests posted a 1-0 victory in their maiden matchup two months ago as well, the win is more than likely to swing in favor of FC Copenhagen in this one.
However, the visiting contingent have secured the bragging rights just once in their previous five outings. Given that Lugano have forced both Malmo and Dynamo Kiev to share the spoils with them in their last two group clashes here, the safest punt would have to be a double chance.
Additionally, Lugano have looked adamant at the back. They are the only side that are yet to concede a goal at home in Group B. FC Copenhagen’s frontline have not been keen on racking up the goals tally on the road either, and have found the back of the net just twice across Europe.
As such, count on the scorecards to feature fewer than 2.5 goals on the charts come Thursday.
