Lille are in seriously good form, the last two weeks told us this with 3-0 wins both times over Guingamp and then going to Montpellier and doing the same thing was brilliant. They have earned our respect. Coach Franck Passi realises that his team are safe and in mid-table but he told the players that they must play like they are in 20th position, or they could be leaving the club in the summer. Passi is clever and doesn’t want his side playing mediocre football because their season is over. For us this plays right into our hands.

Lille does have a poor home record but now that the pressure is off they have been released of their problems. Metz got a decent 2-1 victory over Nancy last weekend which means they have given themselves a huge chance to stay up with 39 points and are six points safe from the drop zone.

On the road they have lost 4 of their last 5 games and have won just 3 all season. In 3 of those 4 losses they have conceded at least 5 goals each time.

For us this will be a home banker. We have to give all of our confidence to Lille who are in brilliant form and also are playing a team with a little less quality and have a poor away record. We will also opt in for Nicolas de Preville to score anytime. He’s bagged us some money lately.
