Cagliari, sitting at 7th position with four wins, three draws and two losses, extended their unbeaten run to seven games after a 1-1 draw away to Torino. Former Boca Juniors midfielder Nahitan Nandez opened his Cagliari account five minutes before the break, but Torino’s super-sub Simone Zaza levelled the score half an hour later. The Sardinians will be aiming to continue their good run of form when they take on Sinisa Mihajlovic’s team.

Bologna snapped their five-game winless streak with a 2-1 win over last-placed Sampdoria on Sunday. After a goalless first half, veteran striker Rodrigo Palacio gave Veltri the lead, Blucerchiati fought back through Gabbiadini, but defender Mattia Bani made all the difference in 78′. Currently 10th with the win-draw-loss record of 3-3-3, the Veltri will look to build on this win on Wednesday at Sardegna Arena.

Dijks, Tomiyasu, Destro and Medel are all out for the guests.
