The Poland manager has named an extended 35-man squad for this summer’s football World Cup in Russia.

The lineup includes some fresh faces such as Sebastian Szymański and Szymon Żurkowski from Polish premier-league clubs, in addition to footballers playing abroad, among them star striker Robert Lewandowski from the German Bundesliga side Bayern Munich, the PAP news agency reported on Friday.
Nawałka is next week expected to whittle down the squad to 28 players whom he will take to the coastal resort of Jurata in the north of Poland for a battery-recharging stay at the local Bryza Hotel from May 21 to 26.
Meanwhile, the Arłamów Hotel in the heart of the picturesque Bieszczady mountains of southeastern Poland will be the official training base for the national squad ahead of the tournament in Russia.
The Polish football players will stay at the hotel from May 28 to June 7, according to an official schedule released by the Polish Football Association (PZPN) in December.
Nawałka is due to name the final 23-man lineup for the World Cup on June 5.
Poland have booked their place at this year’s World Cup in Russia and will play two friendly matches at home ahead of the championships. They will face off against Chile in the western city of Poznań on June 8 and play Lithuania at the National Stadium in Warsaw on June 12.
The World Cup kicks off on June 14 and runs until July 15. Poland take on Senegal, Colombia and Japan in the group stage of the tournament.
