Guangzhou Evergrande midfielder Paulinho joined up with the reigning Chinese top-flight champions on Thursday, two days after going through a mandatory 14-day quarantine.
The 31-year-old Brazilian player left his quarantine hotel and went back to his apartment after having tested negative for COVID-19 on Tuesday.
Paulinho, who reportedly kept training in the hotel room under quarantine, has 23 days to make himself match-fit before the Chinese Super League kicks off on July 25.
The former Barcelona midfielder flew back to China on a chartered plane on June 16.
