Amman: Forward Hamza Al Dardour has been recalled as head coach Vital Borkelmans announced a 26-player Jordan squad in preparation for their next two Asian Qualifiers matches for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023.
The 28-year-old forward was in the Jordan squad for their opening tie against Chinese Taipei in September but was dropped for the matches against Kuwait and Nepal last month.
Al Dardour, who scored four goals in the 2015 AFC Asian Cup Finals, will be hoping to see some action as Jordan host Australia on November 14 and then Chinese Taipei five days later at Amman International Stadium.
Borkelmans will also have the services of goalkeeper Amer Shafi, who suffered a shoulder injury in the last match against Nepal and had to be rested for 10 days by his Saudi club Al Faiha.
Jordan are currently second in Group B on seven points, two behind Australia.
