Egypt national team manager Héctor Cúper said that Salah is a great player but he is also a very humble and simple person.
Salah who is having the best season of his professional career so far, has been prolific for both club and country as he already scored 43 goals for Liverpool, helping them reach the Champions League final for the first time in 11 years. He also played a key role in helping Egypt qualify for the World Cup for the first time in 28 years.
Egypt first team coach praised the Liverpool man saying that he has improved massively over the years and is a great example.
“Salah had an evolution thanks to the increase of his efforts, mainly in the experiences that he had in Switzerland (Basel) and Chelsea. He was very young and is still very young. The demands began to be different and he was living that process very well,” Cúper told Argentinian news website InfoBae.
“He is a very humble guy, very simple, a player who is not at all conflictive. Normally he listens a lot even though he is a very important player,” he added.
However Cúper emphasized on the fact that the national team is not a one man team as many have been saying.
“Behind a great player there is a team. No player can do everything. We have a team that supports, maintains and helps, just like him, he also contributes a lot,” he concluded.
The Pharaohs were drawn in Group A of the World Cup alongside Uruguay, Saudi Arabia and hosts Russia, with their first game coming against the South American side on June 15th, then Russia on the 19th and finally Saudi Arabia on the 25th.
