There are few scintillating young talents in the world of football that aren’t linked with a move to Anfield. One of these rare bright sparks plays for Birmingham City. Liverpool should join Manchester United in the race for Jude Bellingham.
The 16-year-old is, according to The Telegraph, a target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United. Bellingham plays as a centre midfielder for Birmingham City but he has also popped up on the left hand side of midfield when needed.
At just 16 he has already made 15 appearances for the Blues in the Championship this season, scoring twice and assisting once.
The Championship is one of the most fiercely competitive and altogether physical leagues in Europe. For the teenager to be playing to a high enough standard to be getting regular game time for the Brummies speaks volumes about his boundless potential.
With the kid destined for a bright future in the game, Liverpool should join the pursuit for Jude Bellingham – signing him would be in keeping with our current transfer policy.
We have been working on a sort of preemptive-Galacticos project in recent windows. That is to say that the Reds have not being signing superstars but have rather been buying up the superstars of tomorrow in order to avoid paying astronomical fees in five years time.
If Liverpool were to sign Jude Bellingham they would be bagging one of the country’s brightest talents and keeping him from the grasp of one of our greatest rivals.
