As expected Juventus are currently leading Group D, with a healthy three-point cushion over second-placed Atletico Madrid. The hosts are on an impressive form at the moment and are yet to stumble this season as well.

It is also worth mentioning that Juventus have been putting nothing but their best foot forward in their clashes at home. As of now, the home side are sporting an eight-match winning streak at the Allianz Stadium, with two of those victories coming against fellow group members Lokomotiv Moscow and Bayer Leverkusen.

On the other hand, Atletico Madrid were handed a shock 2-1 defeat by Bayer Leverkusen in their last trip across Europe. The visitors are now without a win in their past four outings in all competitions and have just three to boast of from their last eight this season.

Hence, it certainly goes without saying that securing the bragging rights on the road has not been Atletico Madrid’s cup of tea. It is also worth mentioning that their previous trip to Turin did not end well for the visitors either, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring three unanswered goals past them.

Given the stellar run of form that Juve are on, especially in their own backyard, Atletico Madrid’s chances of salvaging even a point in this one are certainly looking bleak.

Furthermore, Maurizio Sarri’s men have been consistent in racking up the goals tally, and have scored two goals or more in seven of their last eight games here.
